Scripps Education Department
The Education Department currently serves 262 Ph.D. students (including the new students for fall of 2006 and excluding students who have petitioned to graduate during summer of 2006), 96 faculty members, and lecturers and researchers who are involved in SIO teaching and student advising. The department supports the educational activities of eight curricular groups, Applied Ocean Science, Biological Oceanography, Climate Sciences, Geological Sciences, Geophysics, Marine Biology, Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry, and Physical Oceanography.
